Yesterday I asked her what she wanted to do and she said &#8220;could we meet that capybara?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8050\/8078988013_5eb03354d7.jpg\" alt=\"of course\" \/><br \/>\nWell, sure! Our friend in Seattle has a pretty famous capybara named Dobby. He has a Facebook page at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dobbywinnick\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dobbywinnick<\/a> and a blog at <a href=\"http:\/\/hippopotatomus.blogspot.com\/\">http:\/\/hippopotatomus.blogspot.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8189\/8078979596_9807f7bc68.jpg\" alt=\"mom\" \/><br \/>\nI hadn&#8217;t seen Dobby in well over a year, but I remember he was a sweet guy. He let my mom scratch his chin and pet him.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8045\/8078987687_6c8d6ba653.jpg\" alt=\"convo\" \/><br \/>\nThen they had a good conversation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8184\/8078979546_d6253b6aab.jpg\" alt=\"sweet\" \/><br \/>\nI told Dobby how sweet and cute he was.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8476\/8078979456_3cbc0a66f2.jpg\" alt=\"poofy\" \/><br \/>\nAnd he got really poofy. His people said that means he&#8217;s happy, so that&#8217;s a good thing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8328\/8078979334_0d8ea3bd29.jpg\" alt=\"Dobby\" \/><br \/>\nDobby has a great snout.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8046\/8078979812_201a71a080.jpg\" alt=\"feet\" \/><br \/>\nFancy feet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8335\/8078986725_82f9c43c04.jpg\" alt=\"bristle\" \/><br \/>\nAnd bristle-y fur like a scrub brush.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8324\/8078979530_f7429993e2.jpg\" alt=\"like\" \/><br \/>\nI think Dobby liked me.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8336\/8078986957_8f78db23e2.jpg\" alt=\"shoe\" \/><br \/>\nHe kissed my shoes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8189\/8078986823_dd3bdea7ff.jpg\" alt=\"rolled\" \/><br \/>\nAnd rolled over so I could pet his belly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8468\/8078988247_910078396f.jpg\" alt=\"all\" \/><br \/>\nDobby is an all-around stand-up guy. As you may know, capybaras are the largest rodents on Earth. Dobby weighs about 115lbs. That&#8217;s right&#8230; one hundred and fifteen pounds of capybara goodness.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8476\/8078979748_359ee3ec90.jpg\" alt=\"glad\" \/><br \/>\nI&#8217;m glad mom had such a good idea to go visit Dobby, and happy his people were so nice to let us visit on short notice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8053\/8078987441_2afa29a320.jpg\" alt=\"dobby\" \/><br \/>\nThanks, Dobby! Great to see you buddy.
